Each DS-3 will carry up to 672 voice channels multiplexed together and each DS-4 will carry up to 4032 voice channels.
DS-3/4 cables are used in the telecommunications networks to interconnect Transmission Equipment and Digital Cross Connect (DSX) systems together. DSX to Multiplexer, DSX to Lightwave Systems or Digital Radio to Multiplexer.  CHECK LIST:
