Space within a building where an occupant interacts with telecommunications devices

 Telecommunications Outlets

  • Location of the connection point between the horizontal cable and cableís connecting devices in the work area
  • Refers to the overall box or faceplate as opposed to individual telecommunications outlet/connectors
  • Minimum of one outlet per work station is required
  • Typical work station space allocation is one every 10 m2 (100 ft2)
