Category 6 cables represent the next logical step in building reliable, high performance networks. Category 6 cables improve upon the Category 5e specification by providing twice the available bandwidth (up to 500Mhz), and a signal-to-noise margin improvement that is sixteen times (12dB) better than that provided by Cat5e. High-quality CAT 6 patch cords or CAT6e Cables are a critical part of a high-performance cabling system. The only real way to assure Cat6e / CAT 6 patch cable performance is to test every CAT6 cable across all pairs and in both directions. CAT 6 Cables are composed of 4 pairs 24 AWG stranded conductors with PVC jackets. Conductors are wired to gold plated RJ45 plugs in accordance with the TIA/EIA 568B or TIA/EIA 568B standard as needed. Both custom length and numerous standard CAT6e / CAT 6 patch cords are available.
