FireWire® Cables are designed to connect FireWire® Peripherals to FireWire® Enabled Computers. The actual specification for FireWire® is IEEE 1394-2000. There are 2
versions of FireWire®, version (a) which operates at 200 megabits per second (Mbps), and 400 Mbps or version (b) which operates at a 800 Mbps on copper cable (normal) and
up to 3200 Mbps on fiber-optic cable. The 2 connectors for the version (a) can be a powered 6-pin or a non powered 4-pin. GoldX Products item numbers are
GX1394AA-06, GX1394AA-10, GX1394AA-15, GX1394AB-06, GX1394AB-10, GX1394AB-15, GX1394BB-06, GX1394BB-10, and GX1394BB-15. The 2 connectors
for version (b) both are powered 9-pin. The difference is in the shape of the connector. |
