FIBER ATTENUATORS
Fiber attenuators are used to control the power level of optical signals in optical communication at the
output of Light Sources, E/O Converters, and also for the testing of linearity or dynamic range of Photosensors, Photodetectors, etc. Fiber type attenuators becomes popular because it is
advantageous with regard to adaptability to a receptacle structure and spliceability to a transmission fiber. Some of the features of Attenuators are -
Precise Attenuation Value - Environmental Stable and Reliable - Excellent Return Loss - Bi-Directional Non Air Gap.For More Information on
Fiber Attenuators click here. FIBER OPTIC ENCLOSURES Communication Cable carries a variety of enclosures for fiber distribution. Whether you need an
enclosure for termination, splicing, or both, Communication Cable and Champion Products provide you with a quality solution!
Corrosion resistant 16 gauge galvanized steel with powder coat paint finish for superior resistance to
chips and scratches, padlock hasp for extra security. The units are stackable for future expansion.
Cables enter from top or bottom, internal brackets are provided to manage cable slack and to prevent damage to fibers. Units provide protection in LAN or Data applications. WALL MOUNT

|
For wall mount applications the CFD100LIU will protect up to twelve (12) of your fiber terminations inside
a rugged 16 gauge mill galvanized steel shell. Cable management and strain relief are provided by internal loops and brackets. Cable entry is facilitated by a top or
bottom entry port which transforms into a slot for fast and easy tie down. For up to twenty-four(24) fiber terminations, order the CFD200LIU. |
Adapter plates for the CFD100 and 200LIU follow this format: CFD100-PXXX, where the first
'X' gets replaced with an 'N' for unloaded, or a 'C' for a loaded plate and the next two 'XX' get replaced with the two character abbreviation for the coupler style desired,

For medium fiber counts in a splice and terminate, or terminate-only application, we
recommend the CFD20 series. The dual door design provides extra security and protection featuring a padlock hasp and bolt entry on the facilities door. |

|
The above enclosures are extremely flexible, they can be loaded with your choice of connectors and
are expandable to meet future growth. The adapters are held in a 6 port panel which easily slots into the enclosure

The CFD90 series provides an excellent rack mount location for the connection of pre-terminated cables,
splicing applications or direct termination of fibers in one enclosure. Each has secure cable tie bars and internal routing guides, a slide tray to access adapters and
splices, and a clear Lexan front door. The CFD90 series enclosures all have reversible mounting tabs for 19" or 23" mounting. |

|
CFD904 & CFD906 has secure cable tie bars and internal cable routing guides for ease of handling
entrance cable. A completely removable slide-out tray allows total access to adapters and splice trays. Can be mounted on 19" or 23" racks.

BULK FIBER OPTIC CABLE
Multimode fiber optic cable: This cable is used in most LAN applications, and has many other uses as
well. This class of cable has a number of different core diameters, the most common being 62.5/125 micron fiber. Other sizes are available by special order.
Singlemode fiber optic cable:
This is the cable of choice in "longhaul" applications, such as long distance telephone lines, long runs between buildings, or in high speed applications like "sonet" rings. The fiber diameter is 8.5/125 microns. See our
Singlemode
Page for a currently available list of bulk singlemode discounted cable. |

|
Fiber cables come packaged in many different styles to suit a variety of needs from direct burial
underground cables and aerial cables with messenger wire to inside plenum cables, and special "mil-spec" cables for severe duty or disaster recovery.
The following categories of cable give a rough idea of the many styles of fiber available, and some of the considerations involved in choosing the "right fiber" for your application.
