The BNC Connector Pull Tester is a quick and easy way to check your BNC connections
consistently in the field as you are terminating your cables or before you install the pre-terminated cables just received. This tester is set up for standard 735 coax cables as shown; however, it can be easily modified to accept other size coax by simply changing out the cable holder gate. Pre-calibrated pull tensions are set at the factory based on your specifications.
The units are pre-assembled and ready for use. With the tool in its relaxed position simply attach the BNC connector to the connector lock. Loosen the red handle, slide the coax into the cable guide holder, then compress the red handle until it locks in position.
Manually compress the tester handle until the red line on the indicator pin shows good. A failed test will not show the red indicator line.
If the db loss of the cable under stress is desired, repeat the test procedures with a known good cable attached to the launch connector in line with a test meter.
