This adapter is designed to work with SUN workstations that provide the H/V sync signals. Some older SUN workstations only provide a composite sync signal, this adapter will not work on those workstations. The ADP5126 plus a special wired adapter would be needed to connect a VGA monitor to a composite only signal.
