Fits in the Optional I/O slot on older Hewlett Packard Laserjets (Laserjet Series II and similar models, not Laserjet 4 MIO, see BAYLS4AM for those. This unit requires M2162-10 to connect from the serial ports to a PC 25 pin serial port (M1370 for 9 pin serial port). On the parallel ports, the M2132 would be needed to connect to a PC's parallel port.
